CDE Enrollment/Admissions Notice [Ed. Code § 47605(e)(4)]
Our school shall not discourage a pupil from enrolling or seeking to enroll in our school for any reason, including, but not limited to, academic performance of the pupil or because the pupil exhibits any of the following characteristics described in clause (iii) of subparagraph (B) of paragraph (2): pupils with disabilities, academically low-achieving pupils, English learners, neglected or delinquent pupils, homeless pupils, or pupils who are economically disadvantaged, as determined by eligibility for any free or reduced-price meal program, foster youth, or pupils based on nationality, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.Our school shall not request a pupil’s records or require a parent, guardian, or pupil to submit the pupil’s records to our school before enrollment.
Our school shall not encourage a pupil currently attending our school to disenroll from our school or transfer to another school for any reason, including, but not limited to, academic performance of the pupil or because the pupil exhibits any of the characteristics described in clause (iii) of subparagraph (B) of paragraph (2). This subparagraph shall not apply to actions taken by our school pursuant to the procedures described in subparagraph (J) of paragraph (5) of subdivision (c).
PUC Triumph Charter High School does not charge tuition, is nonsectarian in its programs, admission policies, and all other operations, and does not discriminate against any person on the basis of the characteristics listed in Education Code § 220 including, but not limited to, actual or perceived disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, immigration status, and sexual orientation. PUC Triumph Charter High School will follow the provisions of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act to ensure that homeless and foster youth have equal access to free public education.
